2 arrested after cocaine, heroin and children found in car

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

A man and woman are arrested after $35,000 worth of cocaine, $16,000 worth of heroin, and two small children were found in a vehicle.

After a lengthy investigation, officers found Omar Mendoza, 23, and Marivel Rojas 21, both of Middletown, in the 2000 block of Logan Avenue in a vehicle. Inside the first vehicle, police recovered a full kilo of cocaine.

Investigators then conducted another search and found 600 grams of heroin. Two vehicles were seized during the investigation.

Both suspects are charged with drug abuse, child endangering, and Mendoza was also charged with driving under suspension.

Both suspects are being held in the Middletown City Jail on bond, pending hearings.
