Man killed in crash involving deer

Sprigg Township (FOX19) - A Mt. Olivet man died Friday after police say a deer hit the windshield of the pick-up the man was driving.

The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on U.S. 52 in Sprigg Township in Adams County.

Police say the deer ran in front of a car being driven by Jack Cornell, 56. Cornell hit the deer with his car, throwing it into the path of a pick-up truck driven by Clell Noble, 70.

Police say the deer then went through Noble's windshield and he died at the scene. Noble's passenger, Gerardo Navarro, 31, was not hurt. No one in Cornell's car was injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
