INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The victims of a weekend stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair are being remembered by friends and family members this week as investigators continue to search for answers in the collapse.
A funeral is scheduled Thursday for stagehand Nathan Byrd, 51, of Indianapolis. Services are scheduled Friday for security guard Glenn Goodrich of Indianapolis and concertgoer Alina Bigjohny of Fort Wayne.
All three died of injuries suffered Saturday when a wind gust of 60 to 70 mph toppled the metal scaffolding holding lighting and other equipment as fans waited for a performance by the country band Sugarland.
Tammy Vandam of Wanatah, Indiana, and Christina Santiago of Chicago also were killed.
Eighteen people remain hospitalized.
