A construction worker was flown to the hospital Thursday morning after he was injured while trying to start a crane.
It happened just before 9 a.m. on Rodebush Lane in Batavia.
Investigators say the 49-year-old worker was trying to start a crane with gasoline when a backfire occurred, knocking him off the crane.
He suffered burns to his left arm and torso as well as an injury to his knee after falling from the crane.
He was taken via Air Care to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. His name and condition are unknown.
