INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - A Kenton County teacher who is on duty in Iraq took time Thursday to Skype with students.
Major Ed Cook talked to cadets at Success Academy from his base in Victory Base Complex.
The Success Academy is an alternative Kenton County School District high school for students interested in learning more about the military. The program is a partnership between the Kentucky National Guard 1204th Aviation Support Battalion the Kenton County School District.
The school's mission is to offer a unique educational opportunity founded in the values and traditions of the military, to assist and challenge students through real world applications, teamwork, and community relationships, enabling them to demonstrate academic and leadership skills to achieve life goals and successful citizenship.
Currently four Success Academy graduates are in duty in Iraq.
