CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A four-vehicle accident shut down part of Columbia Parkway for several hours on Saturday.
Police say the accident happened around 11:45 a.m. near the Delta Avenue intersection. The road was closed between Delta Avenue and William Howard Taft Road for several hours as crews cleaned up the scene.
Some of those involved were hurt in the accident, but police say all the injuries were minor.
It was just earlier this week that Cincinnati Police Sergeant Ronald Schaeper was critically injured in a crash at the same spot on Columbia Parkway. That accident also involved four vehicles.
Also this week, members of the Cincinnati City Council held a press conference to call for a study on how to improve safety on Columbia Parkway. They said several issues, including speeding, traffic accidents, landslides and flooding, highlight the dangers of the east side route, which carries more than 26,000 cars per day.
