Parrot Heads take over Riverbend

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Parrot Heads are invading Riverbend, as the annual Jimmy Buffett concert takes place Tuesday night.

The concert is one of the most popular shows at Riverbend, usually selling out minutes after tickets go on sale.

This year was no exception, as tickets to Tuesday's show sold out shortly after they went on sale March 14. Buffett has 44 sell outs in 24 years of coming to Cincinnati.

Parrot Heads began showing up at Riverbend as early as 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to tailgate and get ready for the concert.

Cincinnati is one of the last stops for Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band's "Welcome to Fin Land Tour 2011." They are performing Aug. 25 in Indianapolis and Aug. 27 in Bristow, Va. There is also a performance in Paris, France in September and two concerts in Las Vegas in October.

If you are attending Tuesday's concert, or are one of several fans who will be tailgating before the concert, be sure to send your photos to FOX19 at
