Fun in the Sun Festival celebrates 100 years of Girl Scouting in Kentucky

ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

The Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road is celebrating their 100th anniversary with a festival in Northern Kentucky.

On Saturday, August 27, the "Fun in the Sun" event will take place at the Erlanger Girl Scout office located at 607 Watson Road in Erlanger from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m.

 The event will have free food, and drinks, live music, and plenty of games for the entire family. Visitors will also have a chance to make their own crafts, see a fashion show and check out a petting zoo.

 "Fun in the Sun" is free to everyone who attends, but the Girl Scouts is asking for a canned food donation to benefit the Kids Cafe'- Freestore Foodbank.

Parking for the event is available at Lloyd High School and a shuttle will be available for those who cannot walk to the property. Parking will not be permitted at the bottom of the driveway on Watson Road.
