Meagan's life will be celebrated on Sunday, Aug. 28 from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Moore's Funeral Home in Newtown.

Her family released the following statement on Turpin's website: "Thank you all for your kindness and generosity. Our family is overwhelmed by our sweet girl's impact on so many people. There is some comfort in knowing that she had such a presence for so many people. Please continue to pray for the other victims of this terrible tragedy."
