Aurora Police search for credit card thief

AURORA, IN (FOX19) -

The Aurora Police Department is searching for a man who stole a credit card from a stolen Coach purse.

On August 16th, Aurora Police responded to Lesko Park in regards to a theft complaint. Officers discovered that a purse had been stolen from a vehicle as the victim was taking a walk with her husband down a trail. Police say that although the vehicle was locked, the window of the vehicle was partially opened. 

The victim later discovered that her credit card had been used at Wal-Mart, Aurora Shell Station, Aurora Road Dog Gas Station, and the First Financial Bank. Security footage taken at Wal-Mart provided a picture of a suspect.

Police say the suspect drove a newer model, dark blue SUV. Police say the suspect charged just under $250.00 from the Victims account on August 16, 2011.
