HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Sitting on his front porch and playing guitar is what 66-year old Ronald Stewart loves to do, but now he plays with pain.
"Mainly the elbow is sore, but everything is going to be fine," said Stewart.
Monday night Stewart's outlook wasn't so positive as he faced an attacker armed with a hammer. The male attacker approached Stewart's car window on Hampshire Drive in Hamilton after a road rage incident and started swinging the hammer at Stewart.
"He was swinging as hard as he could go," said Stewart.
Stewart has several gashes on his arm caused by the hammer but he says his injuries could have been much worse.
"My life was in jeopardy if he would have got a good lick in on my head with that hammer and knocked me out," said Stewart. "I don't know what he would have done."
Stewart has decided not to press charges against his attacker and says he hopes that person learns from this and makes positive changes to his life.
Hamilton police are still looking for Stewart's attacker.
