Head coach Marvin Lewis promises that his team will be ready for the regular season.

"It's a grind, and we are going to find the way," Lewis said after last week's 27-7 loss at the New York Jets. "It's the core 53 guys who will be on the field (Sept. 11) at Cleveland, and I saw some positives from that group (against the Jets). The message for our veterans is, 'Don't accept mediocrity. Look hard at yourself and keep bringing people along with you.' We're pulling together some new pieces."
