CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The World's Largest Toilet Paper Roll is on display in Cincinnati on Friday.
The roll, measuring more than eight feet high with a diameter of more than nine feet wide, is made entirely of Charmin toilet tissue. Charmin is owned by Cincinnati-based P&G.
The roll was fabricated at the P&G Paper Products Company, located outside of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and then transported to the company's headquarters in Cincinnati for the unveiling on Friday, which is National Toilet Paper Day.
"The roll contains over 1,000,000 square feet of paper and would take approximately 95,000 rolls of Charmin to equal the same amount of paper," said Darrick Johnson, plant manager at the P&G Paper Products Company, located outside of Cape Girardeau.
"We are thrilled to be able to celebrate National Toilet Paper Day in such a big way this year," said Scott Mautz, Marketing Director for the Charmin brand. "While National Toilet Paper Day may not be a widely known holiday, it is one that we hope to continue celebrating with our great consumers for years to come."
Following the roll's appearance in Cincinnati, it will be shipped to Ripley's Believe It or Not, where they will then decide on a showcase location for the roll in one of their museums.
