MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - After a search warrant was executed, Middletown Police found evidence connecting Dwayne Elsberry, 45, with the robbery of a Walgreens store that happened August 23.

Elsberry was arrested and charged with the robbery. He is suspected of other robberies in Middletown, which he may be charged with as the investigation continues.

Elsberry first became a person of interest after a Speedway was robbed on June 10th. Five days after the robbery, a concerned citizen made a call of a suspicious person on Elliot Dr. in Middletown. An officer responded and located Dwayne in the area with a bb-gun tucked into his waistband.

Elsberry also matches the description of the individual who robbed ICBY Yogurt on August 4. DNA evidence is still being processed on that robbery.

During the search warrant of his residence, detectives found drug paraphernalia, clothing matching the description of the perpetrator, and a toy gun. Elsberry was convicted of robbery in 1991.

Anyone with additional information should call Detective Specht with the Middletown Police Department at 513-425-7796.
