ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) - A community benefit is planned in honor of an Erlanger mother and daughter who are recovering from injuries suffered in the Indiana State Fair stage collapse.
Shannon Walcott does not have health insurance, and the community is rallying to raise money for the medical expenses she faces.
The Help Shannon and Jade Community Benefit will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday at Guys N Dolls on Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring. Admission to the event is a $20 donation.
There will be a corn hole tournament, raffles and a silent auction.
Shannon has been released from the hospital, but does need more surgery after suffering severe burns in the collapse. She's staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis so she can be close to her daughter, Jade, as she recovers from severe brain injuries.
