HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton Firefighters and local volunteers are going door-to-door on Sunday to urge voters to repeal Senate Bill 5.
They are part of the group We Are Ohio, which was successful in gaining more than one million signatures to place a referendum on the ballot.
The group is asking residents to vote no on Issue 2 on the November ballot. It's part of a statewide outreach taking place this weekend.
Ohio Governor John Kasich scheduled a compromise meeting over the new collective bargaining law on August 19th, but no unions showed.
We Are Ohio says it will only consider negotiating with the governor after the bill is repealed.
Governor Kasich wants a deal that would remove the referendum from the ballot.
