Crews have hard time battling NJ house fire due to flooding

POMPTON LAKES, NJ (CNN) - Emergency officials had a hard time battling a house fire in New Jersey Monday morning because the home was surrounded by flood waters.

The home caught fire around 6 a.m. in the Pompton Lakes area.

The extreme flooding conditions slowed down the response from firefighters.

Fire marshals say the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one was hurt in the fire.
