A Hamilton Township man is in custody after a standoff Monday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at a home on Hopkins Road.
Police responded to a report of an armed man threatening suicide. Upon arrival, officers were able to evacuate several family members from the home. Officers attempted to talk the man out, but he refused and barricaded himself inside.
The Warren County Tactical Response Unit was called. They arrested the suspect about two hours later as he exited the residence and attempted to evade officers.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was taken to the Warren County Jail and charged with inducing panic and having weapons under disability.
