Local public information officer named vice president of national organization

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - Mike Fronimos, the public information officer for the Hebron Fire Department, has been elected to serve as the Vice President of the National Information Officers Association.

Fronimos will officially take office Wednesday during a conference in Phoenix.

"This is a very humbling experience as there are so many other qualified PIO's that could have been elected," said Fronimos in a statement.

The election is a three year commitment - one as vice president, one as president, then one as immediate past president.
