A man is behind bars after police say he raped a 17-year-old girl who he caught stealing scrap items.
It happened Wednesday on Stephens Road in North Bend.
Police say Marshall Sheldon, 59, caught the teen stealing scrap items at the facility he was tasked with protecting.
According to Hamilton County court documents, the victim told police that Sheldon grabbed her by the arm and told her that unless she did something for him, he would call the police and have her arrested. The victim said Sheldon tried to unbutton her pants, but she resisted, so instead he gave her the option of performing a sex act on him, which she did.
The mother of the victim told FOX19 that her daughter was not given a choice, and she was forced to perform the sex act. She said the girl's clothes were torn when she arrived at her mother's house.
Sheldon is at the Hamilton County Justice Center charged with rape.
