The hometown boys were at it again as East Central (3-0) pleased their fans with another quality victory over an Ohio school. The Trojans jumped out to a 27-0 halftime lead and were never really threatened by Edgewood (1-1). Taylor Mischell ran for two touchdowns and quarterback Seth Federle threw for two more in the opening 24 minutes. Mischell would add another rushing touchdown after intermission.
The East Central defense did not allow the Cougars into the end zone until the fourth quarter. The Trojans held their second opponent in three week to seven points or fewer.
Also scoring touchdowns for the Trojans were Evan Fette, Payton Stonefield and Tyler Douthit. Federle now has six scoring tosses in three games.
East Central will head to Brookville to take on Franklin County (3-0) in both teams EIAC opener. The Wildcats have given up just 14 points on the season. Edgewood looks to right its ship as they square off against Badin (1-1) next Saturday at Virgil Schwarm Stadium.
