Suspect in fatal Whitewater Township hit and run turns himself in

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has taken a man in to custody they say is responsible for a hit and run accident in Whitewater Township that left one man dead.

Police say Arnold Turner, 54, was found dead Wednesday on the 5900 block of OH-128. Reportedly, he was killed when hit by a black 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Police sent out an alert looking for the truck.

On Thursday, Edward Krimmer, 40, appeared at the Cleves Police Department, saying that he knew police were searching for the driver of a black truck. The Cleves Police Department contacted the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, and took Krimmer into custody.

Krimmer was charged with Felony Leaving the Scene of a Crash with a Death, and Felony Tampering with Evidence. The vehicle was located by police and secured by the Traffic Safety Unit.

Krimmer is currently in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
