MT. AIRY, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a two-car crash in Mt. Airy that sent one woman to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say the accident happened at around 4:00 pm on the 5500 block of Colerain Avenue. Police say Shawonna Rice, 31, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala when she lost control of the vehicle and drove left of center. Rice then hit a 2006 Cadillac Escalade.
The Escalade was being driven by Annie Proffitt, 50. She was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. She is listed in being in stable condition. Rice was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries, and is now listed in critical condition.
Two juvenile passengers were also in the Impala. Both were taken to Childrens Hospital where they were treated and released.
