Zack Jansen threw for four touchdown passes as Madeira (3-0) handed North College Hill (1-2) their second straight loss. Jansen connected with Isaac Rupe and Joe Bodnar two times each for scores. Bodnar was sensational! He found the end zone twice as a receiver on 70 and 45-yard hook ups with Jansen, all in the first quarter. Bodnar, sealed the of NCH when he broke free on a 59-yard touchdown run around right end, to put the final nail in the third quarter.
Trojans head coach Bruce Baarendse and his boys had no answer. Rupe would slide open out to the right and catch his second touchdown for Madeira after intermission. At this point the Mustangs played liked they earned the right to be the #1 rated team in Division IV, Region16.

The "Mustang Mammoths" gave their junior signal-caller, Jansen, "ALL DAY" to throw the ball as Madeira dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage.
Defensively the Mustangs stuffed the run and came up with timely plays. Junior linebacker Tucker Larsh intercepted two errant Trojan passes while defensive lineman Ramsey Deal disrupted the NCH offense all night long. Deal, who wears # 77, often gets overshadowed by his beefy teammates, Kyle Williamson and Will Steur did everything in his will power to shut down the Trojans. Tonight his play stopping the Trojans run was worthy of marquee status.
Madeira will host Mariemont (3-0) on Homecoming, next Friday, as they look to win their 16th game in their last 18 outings. North College looks to rebound in a big way in their MVC opener in Hamilton against New Miami.
