Matt Lindsey ran for three touchdowns including two in the fourth quarter as Waynesville (3-0) picked up their second straight quality non-conference win over Eaton (2-1). The Spartans are making it known that they are one of the top teams in Region IV, Region 16. This victory makes them a force to be reckoned with in Southwest Ohio.
Eaton got a three touchdown passing performance out of their All-Ohio quarterback, Cole French, but it wasn't enough to stop the Waynesville powerful rushing attack. Andrew Holderman caught two of French's scoring tosses. Joey McCafferty caught the other.

Waynesville senior signal-caller, Luke Creditt helped Lindsey will his team to a great victory by throwing scoring strike to Matt Hussey in a 17-0 second quarter scoring barrage by the Spartans. That lead would be erased by the Eagles in the second half as they would soar back to tie the score in the fourth.
That is when Lindsey and the Spartans offense took over with his two short scoring runs in the final 12 minutes to seal the deal. Head coach Brandon Philpot has his team playing like a true champion in non-conference play with victories over the Eagles and Clinton-Massie.
Waynesville heads to Carlisle (1-2) on Friday night. Eaton travels to the run hungry and high-powered Brookville (3-0) Blue Devils house on the same night.
