Police investigating Wilmington fatal stabbing

WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) - Wilmington Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 13th.

Officers arrived in the 600 block of Fife Avenue and found Christina Hill, 24, with a stab wound. The officers immediately began first aid and the Wilmington Life Squad arrived moments later and continued to provide life saving techniques.

Hill was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital where she later died.

Upon further investigation, officers learned the stabbing was related to domestic violence. According to police, the live in boyfriend, Paciano Sanchez, 31, stabbed Christina. While officers were on the scene, they began to search to immediate area and found Sanchez on the ground behind a vehicle.

Sanchez had a self-inflicted knife wound to his neck; he was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital. Sanchez was transferred to a nearby hospital where he is in custody for the death of Christina Hill.

Christina is survived by five children, the oldest being 6 years old.
