BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A man was hospitalized after he was ejected from the dump truck he was riding in.

According to police, the accident happened just after 8 a.m. on Glencoe Verona Road in Verona, KY. The driver, Ronald Hoffer, 47, of Hillsboro, OH, was driving the empty dump truck northbound when he started into a sharp curve too fast. Hoffer locked up the breaks causing the truck to go into a yaw. The truck slid off the road coming to a rest in a ditch.

The passenger door opened and the passenger, Richard Domaschko Jr., 41, of Warsaw, KY, fell out hitting his head. AirCare was called, but Domaschko refused to fly, so he was transported by ground to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Hoffer was not injured.
