Arrest made in string of theft from cars at NKU

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19) - The Northern Kentucky University Police Department has made an arrest after a string of thefts from vehicles.

The NKU Police Department had received nearly a dozen reports of thefts from vehicles on campus. In each instance, items were removed from vehicles that were either left unlocked or had the windows rolled down.

Many of the stolen items have been recovered. Police have not released the suspect's name.

University officers are giving special attention to targeted lots, students, faculty, staff and campus guests are urged to lock their doors and do not leave valuable items visible inside.

University officials are still encouraging students to lock their car doors and do not leave valuables in plain sight.
