Shots fired at Ft. Mitchell apartment

FORT MITCHELL, KY (FOX19) - Police are investigating a incident where shots were fired at an apartment complex in Fort Mitchell.

It happened around noon in the 100 block of Cook Book Lane. Police say a man broke into an apartment, followed by a struggle where a victim received a non life threatening gunshot wound.

Police say three shots were then fired inside the apartment complex as he was fleeing the scene. Investigators took a door as evidence.

Police say the man fled in a green older model Ford Explorer with a Kentucky licence plate. Police describe the suspect as a black man about 6 feet tall, with dark skin, a thin build, and wearing black clothing with a black bandanna across his face.
