With the score knotted at 7-7 East Central (5-0, 0-2) came out of their Lucas Oil Stadium locker room and posted 21 unanswered third quarter points to pull away from Batesville (2-3, 0-2). The Bulldogs were the only EIAC team to beat the Trojans in league play over the past decade but it was not to be on the magical night in Indianapolis.

Senior fullback scored two rushing touchdowns for East Central. Tailback Tyler Douthit found the end zone twice via a run and a reception. Classmate Seth Federle tossed two touchdown passes for the victors. On defense Kole Pettit killed two Batesville drives with interceptions. East Central hosts South Dearborn 4-1, 2-0) on Friday night. Batesville travels to Lawrenceburg (2-3, 1-1).
