CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A hearing over the renovation of Cincinnati Union Bethel's Anna Louise Inn went in the Inn's favor on Monday.
Western & Southern filed two appeals in an effort to block the renovation of the Anna Louise Inn. The first appeal challenged the issuance of the building permit and the second challenged the issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Historic Conservation Board.
However, during a hearing on Monday, the Cincinnati Zoning Board ruled in Anna Louise's favor, saying all of the uses of the building are allowed under the city's code.
Western & Southern was trying to block the renovation so they can buy the property where Anna Louise is located. They think the Anna Louise Inn could build a new building.
Anna Louise Inn has provided low income housing for women since 1909.
