Officer disciplined after confiscating camera at Chabot event

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The officer who confiscated cameras at a town hall meeting hosted by Republican Steve Chabot has been disciplined.

During a town hall meeting, hosted by Republican Congressman Steve Chabot on August 22, several people were told they were not able to use their cameras during the meeting. This led to the officer confiscating the cameras from two Democratic activists.

The Cincinnati police officer's actions were written up and placed in his personnel file. Two people at the town hall meeting said the officer took their cameras. Both of the videos are now posted on YouTube.

The officer's name has not been released.
