FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - The Fort Thomas Independent School District held a seminar at Highlands High School Monday night to educate parents on bullying.
Dr. Patrick Richardson, the school district's psychologist for the last ten years, says most bullying happens in grades 6-10 and that only 4 to 13 percent of incidents are ever reported.
Richardson said kids who are bullies tend to have discipline problems in school along with a sense of entitlement. Their targets tend to be smaller children, and those who have a difficult time fitting in socially.
Anyone who may have questions concerning the anti-bullying policy of their child's school district should simply call the district office and ask.
