Monroe tattoo parlor owner accused of robbing UDF with baseball bat

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Hamilton Police have arrested a suspect accused of robbing a United Dairy Farmers with a baseball bat.

It happened just before 7 a.m. Tuesday at the UDF in the 1200 block of Main Street. Police say the suspect swung the baseball bat, hitting a piece of furniture, then demanded the clerk give him money from the cash register. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot with the money.

An arriving officer noticed the suspect fleeing the area and pursued him in his vehicle until the suspect crashed into a utility pole at Main and B Streets.

The suspect then fled on foot. Officers gave chase and Tasered the suspect before taking him into custody.

Adam Michael Monroe, 28, is charged with robbery and theft. He also had a bench warrant for contempt of court.  Police say he owns INK'd Up Custom Tattoo Design in Monroe.
