Reds golf outing raises $255,000 for charity

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Reds Community Fund has announced the 7th annual CBTS Marty Brennaman Golf Classic, held at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa on Sept. 18th and19th, raised a total of $255,000 for the Reds Community Fund.

Hosted by Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman, over 40 celebrities participated in this year's event that included two golf scrambles and a Sunday night dinner and concert.

Proceeds from the event support the baseball and softball-themed outreach programs of the Reds Community Fund. Since its inception in 2005, the Marty Brennaman Golf Classic has raised more than $1.45 million for the Reds Community Fund.

The Sunday night dinner was hosted by Dr. Tim Kremchek and Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, and included a surprise appearance by Reds Hall of Famers Dave Concepcion and Cesar Geronimo. The Switzerland County Council presented the Sunday concert featuring "The Man In Black" Johnny Cash tribute band at the CenterStage Showroom at Belterra.
