CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A public hearing will be held tomorrow in an attempt by City Councilman Charlie Winburn, Chair of the Job Creation Committee, to stop the possible closing of the Dalton Avenue Post Office.
Winburn says if the post office is closed, 2,000 jobs and $2-3 million of earnings income tax will be lost.
Winburn will talk about the importance of keeping the jobs. "The City of Cincinnati and the local economy stand to lose significant tax revenue and small businesses will be hit hard from the closure of this regional mail center. We need to be able to quantify that impact and that's what this hearing is intended to do," Winburn said.
The public hearing will be held during the Job Creation Committee meeting on Monday, September 26 at 1:00pm at Cincinnati City Hall.
