NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) - Heavy rain on Monday morning caused several accidents and ponding on roadways.
A Groesbeck neighborhood was also evacuated Monday morning due to high water.
Several accidents also scattered local roadways on Monday morning. No serious injuries were reported as a result of any of the accidents.
A flood advisory is also in effect for Dearborn, Switzerland, Ohio, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Warren, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Kenton, Pendleton, Carroll, Gallatin and Owen counties.
Rain gages and radar estimates indicate that between 3 and 5 inches of rain had fallen Monday morning.
Minor flooding of low lying and poorly drained streets, highways and underpasses will continue to occur. In addition, farmland near creeks, streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.
