Kenwood Towne Center conducts full scale disaster drill
KENWOOD, OH (FOX19) -
Kenwood Towne Centre held a full scale disaster exercise on Wednesday.
The objective of the drill was to establish and coordinate multiple operations through communications and to test capabilities with local Law Enforcement, EMS & Fire, field triage and transportation of patients to Jewish Hospital and Bethesda North.
Disaster exercises are held throughout the year by multiple disciplines for the purpose of achieving a competent level of emergency preparedness.
The following organizations participated in the drill: Kenwood Towne Centre; Sycamore Township Fire; Deer Park/Silverton Fire; Madeira/Indian Hill Fire; Montgomery Fire; Reading Fire; Blue Ash Fire; Little Miami Fire; Loveland/Symmes; Deerfield Township; Command 400; Salvation Army; Jewish Hospital; Bethesda North; Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and Hamilton County EMA.
The drill involved multiple victims of a shooter who was loose in the mall. It was over by the time the mall opened to the public.
