BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - The State Route 32 Eastgate Area Improvements Study is holding an open house on Wednesday, Sept. 28, to hear and take in the comments from local citizens about alternatives developed by the project team.
The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Union Township Civic Center. The subject of discussion will be ODOT's "Eastern Corridor Study." The study takes a long look at transportation needs between Cincinnati and western Clermont County, signifying what routes need the most help. SR 32 was recognized as a important trade and travel route, and was recommended to receive aid from transportation organizations.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said that representatives from ODOT, Clermont
County Transportation Improvement District, and TranSystems will be at the event to discuss the study, listen to the public's comments and answer questions.
ODOT's current "SR 32 Eastgate Area Improvement Study" is striving to influence local officials to support the elimination of access at SR 32/Glen Este-Withamsville Rd. and to improve local transportation routes.
