Lanes closed in downtown Cincinnati as Banks work continues

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Several lanes in downtown Cincinnati will be temporarily closed as work on the Banks project continues.

One block of Vine Street will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Oct. 4 until noon on Saturday, Oct. 22 for the replacement concrete and waterproofing in the structural system under the roadway, including the bridge approach between I-71 and Second Street.

Beginning on Monday, Oct. 3, three lanes of traffic on Race Street, starting with the west and moving to the east, will be closed for similar work.

Second Street vehicular traffic will be directed to turn left on Main Street to go north around the Vine Street closure. Pedestrians will be directed with signage to the opposite sidewalk.

Other than this detour, there will be no impact on residents, businesses or visitors to The Banks, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium. Access to the Central Riverfront Garage and Hamilton County surface parking lots will not be affected.
