The Bengals defense is ranked number one in the NFL in total defense.
The Bengals are giving up 275.5 yards per game. That's a 1.5 yards better than second place Pittsburgh.
Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's squad has only allowed one offensive touchdown the past two games. The Bengals are also third in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game.
Bobbie Williams could be back this week from his four game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancers. However, Marvin Lewis said Monday the team will exercise a one week exemption on Williams this week, meaning, the Bengals will not have to activate him for this Sunday's game at Jacksonville. Although, Lewis said it's possible the team could change its mind.
Meanwhile, Cedric Benson says he still hasn't heard from the NFL about his suspension appeal. He says he will continue to prepare as if he'll play unless he hears otherwise from the league.
