'Taste of the NFL' will benefit Freestore Foodbank

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Freestore Foodbank is presenting the annual 'Taste of the NFL' on Thursday, giving Cincinnati Bengals fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with Bengals players and sample dishes from Cincinnati's best restaurants.

The benefit is Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Club Lounge West at Paul Brown Stadium. It's hosted by cornerback Leon Hall and Daniel and Lana Wright of Senate Restaurant.

The event will feature more than 40 restaurants, as well as several Bengals players, coaches and alumni. There will also be a silent auction, a live auction and a raffle.

Tickets are $150 and benefit the Freestore Foodbank.

"Taste of the NFL is a real treat for Cincinnati sports enthusiasts, because it allows them to not only enjoy delicious gourmet food but the ability to actually interact with their favorite Bengals players," said John Young, CEO of the Freestore Foodbank. "Not only can participants fulfill a football fan fantasy, they will also help in the fight against hunger."

Young says the price for one ticket will help provide 600 meals.
