Occupy Cincinnati works with police to plan safe demonstration
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
The Cincinnati Police Department has met with organizers of the Occupy Cincinnati event to be held downtown Saturday October 8 to establish lines of communication and plan for a safe and orderly demonstration.
The group has a permit that allows up to 2,000 participants. Occupy Cincinnati will gather at Lytle Park at 11 a.m. and then move to Fountain Square between 2 and 3 p.m. for their demonstration.
The permit for Fountain Square is for 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., although no ending time for the event has been set at this point. Police officials and Occupy Cincinnati leadership will hold periodic meetings throughout the event.
