Police: Alcohol could be factor in early morning motorcycle accident

BOND HILL, OH (FOX19) -

Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a motorcycle crash that sent two people to the hospital early Monday morning.

The accident happened on the Norwood Lateral near the Paddock Road exit in Bond Hill.

Michael Burton, 39, lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle just after 2:30 a.m. The motorcycle hit the guard rail and he was thrown from the bike. His passenger Leaisha Reed, 25, was also thrown from the bike.

Burton and Reed were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Burton is listed in serious condition, Reed is listed in critical condition.

Neither Burton nor Reed were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and any eye witness to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
