FAIRFAX, OH (FOX19) - A Fairfield Township teen has been charged with making false alarm, a misdemeanor charge, after lying to police about being attacked on his way to the school bus stop.
Initial reports from the Fairfield Middle School 8th grader stated that he was on his way to the school bus stop at the intersection of Imlay and Pater Avenue when a man came up behind him and held a knife to his throat. The 8th grader told FOX19 that he struggled with the guy and when he pulled away from the man the knife cut his throat.
Fairfield Police say he cut himself with a razor and admitted to detectives during the investigation that he only wanted to get attention.
The teen initially told police that the suspect demanded money and the man fled. After the "attack" he ran home. His father came out of the house to look for the person who he thought cut his child.
The teen had to get eight stitches for the cut.
The charges were filed late Tuesday. The teen will appear in Butler County Juvenile Court on October 25th to answer to the charges.
