High school student struck by car

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

A Boone County High School student was struck by a car Thursday morning on his way to school.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. near Ky. 18 and Sweetbriar Avenue.

Police say Bradley Moore, 16 of Florence, was starting to cross Ky. 18 at Sweetbriar Avenue when he stepped out in front of a 2004 Dodge Neon driven by Diana Pham, 32 of Florence.

Pham braked and swerved to avoid the collision but caught Moore with the right front bumper.

Moore, a junior, was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence with non-life threatening injuries. There was no crosswalk where he was crossing.
