Work release prisoner escapes from Warren Co. Sheriff's Office custody

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - The Warren County Sheriff's Office is searching for an escaped inmate of the Warren County Jail.

Shortly after 9 a.m., Daryl Shane Napier, 36, of Carlisle, ran away from his probation officer after meeting him outside the jail.

Within minutes, Warren County Deputies and the Lebanon Police Department responded and set up a perimeter in a wooded area just north of the jail, near the Harmon Golf Course. Napier was not found.

Napier is described as a white male, 5'8" tall and about 190 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a long sleeved white shirt and blue jeans.

Napier had been convicted by two area courts on contempt and theft charges. He had been granted work release on October 7, 2011 for his job in Centerville.
