CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) - UC Homecoming weekend will bring street closures around campus on Friday evening and college football to Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday.
UC's Homecoming parade will affect traffic around campus on Friday, Oct. 14. The parade starts at 7 p.m., and the following streets will be affected:
Calhoun Street, between Vine Street and Clifton Ave., will close at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14.
Clifton Ave., between McMillan and Martin Luther King Jr. avenues, will close at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.
Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, between Clifton Avenue and Woodside Drive will be restricted to one lane in each direction starting at approximately 6:45 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 14.
Also, parking will be unavailable in the above areas starting at 5 p.m. until the parade ends at approximately 8 p.m.
All parking and regular driving routes will be reinstated at the end of the Homecoming parade at approximately 8 p.m.
The parade will be followed by an on-campus pep rally.
Grand marshals for the parade include six former Bearcat basketball players from UC's 1959, 1961 & 1962 teams. UC is in the middle of celebrating 50 years since its back-to-back national championships.

- Carl Bouldin (1961 National Championship Team)
- Fred Dierking (1961 and '62 National Championship Teams)
- Larry Shingleton (1961 and '62 National Championship Teams)
- Dave Tenwick (Played on UC's first ever Final Four Team in 1959)
- Ron Nall (Played on UC's first ever Final Four Team in 1959)
At noon on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, UC's Homecoming football game vs. Louisville will be held at Paul Brown Stadium, downtown. No special parking/street restrictions apply.
