A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday morning for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center's new neighborhood location in Green Township.
The ceremony is was held at the new location on Harrison Avenue, 1.9 miles south of I-74.
Cincinnati Children's President and CEO Michael Fisher, Ohio State Senator Bill Seitz local and county officials, area physicians, parents and members of the Green Township community all attended the ceremony.
The facility is planned to open to patients in January 2013. The 78,000 square-foot outpatient center will feature a wide variety of pediatric specialty clinics and services, including Urgent Care, laboratory and radiology services; and therapies including occupational, physical and speech therapy.
