The University of Cincinnati is moving its homecoming game against Louisville Saturday to Paul Brown stadium. Homecoming games are usually played at UC's Nippert stadium, but the university says ticket sales have exceeded Nippert's capacity and they predict it will help the athletic department.
However, many Clinton area businesses are upset by the move saying its going to hurt their bottom line. JD DuBois who runs DuBois Books with his family says "its going to affect our business dramatically...we really count on the home football games to drive traffic through our doors."
UC Associate Athletic Director Doug Mosley says "its just a matter of growing our program...like I say we're packed at the seams at Nippert stadium and I know the folks who are neighbors here in our neighborhood...are going to be out of the neighborhood this game. We certainly feel for them, we don't want to overlook their feelings in this because we do appreciate them as good neighbors we just have to be able to grow our football program...our athletic program as a whole.
